Sometimes I think about experimental music... and sometimes I think about experimental art... sometimes I think about convention... and sometimes I wonder about the history of human creativity and of what moves me... JACK YOUR BODY!

To celebrate the commencement of this blog I will start by listing this song I found about 15 minutes ago at a local second hand record dealer in Melbourne. The artist is Alwin Nikolais and I've never heard of him before this. According to alainfinkielkrautrock.blogspot.com he was Bob Moog's first ever synthesizer customer...!? I think he's Russian - although I could be completely wrong. it's from an retrospective (read 'obituary') of his work and the first few songs and the cover photo move THE EARTH...

Alwin Nikolais - 'Ten Legs: Dance 1' - 1989

I would like to liken him to such interesting score composers as Peter Best, Riz Ortolani...

here's to the future of WON FROM THE EARTH...

yours
neil
