Word has it that Gentry Ice is in fact Tyree. This is incorrect. Gentry Ice is actually another house music figure Adonis Smith - better known simply as 'Adonis'.
Interestingly, Adonis was also know as The Circle Jerks, not to be confused with Larry Heard's Gherkin Jerks.
Wikipedia describes Adonis as an Acid House producer. Still, Utilize The Beat has more of a Chicago House flavour as it contains little but percussion, as the title might suggest. That is why I like this track and is also possibly the retrospective value of house music - as Derrick May says, and perhaps deliberately misspelled, rhythim is rhythim.
